A new dual-concept dining destination is taking shape in Old Town Scottsdale.
Ari & Lloyd is preparing to debut near the corner of Stetson Drive and Sixth Avenue, bringing an upscale casual American bistro and cocktail-focused lounge together under one roof, according to a recent report from Phoenix New Times.
The concept comes from local couple Katie Schnurr and Stephen Roach, who are transforming Roach’s former cabinetry showroom at 7107 E. Sixth Ave. into what they describe as a more intimate, neighborhood-oriented gathering place.
Katie Schnurr told Whatnow Phoenix the team is aiming to open by the end of July, pending final inspections and construction milestones.
To shape the culinary program, the owners partnered with chef Devan Cunningham, known as co-founder of CC’s on Central and for his consulting work across Arizona kitchens. The menu is expected to feature approachable American fare, including shareable starters, cocktails and larger plates. Brunch service is planned after opening.
The project will operate as two connected but distinct experiences. The Ari will serve as the restaurant portion, while The Lloyd is planned as a cocktail-forward lounge centered on craft drinks and lighter fare. Teased on social media as a space for “cool beats, craft cocktails & light bites,” the concept overall appears rooted in comfort and hospitality.
Named after the couple’s dogs, the concept appears centered on hospitality and a more intimate dining experience rather than the high-energy feel often associated with larger Scottsdale concepts.
Early preview images shared on the restaurant’s social media hint at a warm and inviting atmosphere. The space appears to blend soft lighting, dark wood finishes and vintage-inspired touches, along with cozy seating and an intimate bar that reinforce the neighborhood feel.
Whatnow Phoenix will update this story with additional details as they become available.
