According to recent reporting from KTAR News, Wagyu House is preparing to open its first Arizona location at Chandler Fashion Center in 2027. The restaurant is planned for 3111 W. Chandler Blvd. in Chandler, occupying the former Kona Grill space.
Wagyu House specializes in all-you-can-eat yakiniku, a Japanese BBQ dining style centered on grilling premium meats tableside. The concept highlights sought-after cuts, including American and Australian full-blood Wagyu alongside Japanese A5 Wagyu, positioning the experience around high-quality beef and interactive dining.
The restaurant is part of Chubby Group, formerly known as Chubby Cattle International, a U.S.-based food and beverage holding company founded by David Zhao. The company operates a growing portfolio of restaurant brands, including The X Pot, Chubby Cattle, Niku X, and Mikiya, as well as consumer products and the distribution of premium Wagyu and caviar.
Wagyu House currently operates locations in Atlanta and Chicago, with additional restaurants listed as coming soon in Houston, New Jersey, Seattle, and Arizona. Chandler will mark the concept’s first Arizona outpost as the brand continues expanding its national footprint.
Though an exact opening date has not yet been announced, the Chandler debut is expected to add another anticipated dining destination to Chandler Fashion Center in 2027.
