Panda Express has opened a new location in Goodyear, continuing the chain’s expansion across the Phoenix metro area. The restaurant recently celebrated its debut with a ribbon-cutting ceremony attended by local leaders and community members.
Panda Express Opens New Goodyear Location

The new Panda Express restaurant is located at 17211 W Yuma Road in Goodyear. The fast-casual chain operates more than 2,400 locations across the U.S. Members of the Goodyear Chamber of Commerce attended the restaurant’s May 22 ribbon-cutting ceremony.
The brand also gave free t-shirts to the first 88 guests and donated $1,000 to the Agua Fria Food & Clothing Bank. The new store marks Panda Express’s expansion in the Phoenix metropolitan area, one of the fastest-growing areas.
West Yuma Road has become an increasingly attractive corridor for national restaurant brands thanks to ongoing retail growth, new housing developments, and strong commuter traffic. It has led to a rise in demand for convenient dining and for familiar fast casual brands.
About the Fast Casual Giant
Founded in 1983 by Andrew and Peggy Cherng, Panda Express has grown into the nation’s largest American Chinese fast-casual chain. Today, the brand runs throughout the country in shopping centers, airports, universities, and independent restaurants. The brand is best known for its fast-casual American Chinese menu, including its signature Orange Chicken.
From familiar comfort food to customizable bowls, plates, and larger family meals for convenience and affordability, the chain’s menu has everything.
Some popular dishes, along with Orange Chicken, include Honey Walnut Shrimp, Kung Pao Chicken, Beijing Beef, and Chow Mein. The restaurant also offers flexible dine-in and takeout options and digital ordering to cater to the needs of families, office workers, commuters, and young customers seeking quick solutions.
As suburban communities like Goodyear continue to grow, national fast-casual brands such as Panda Express are expanding alongside new residential and retail development across the West Valley.
