Club Fortune North is the refreshed casino coming to North Las Vegas. The new casino is a rebrand of the former Poker Palace in North Las Vegas, which closed last October. Reno-based Truckee Gaming company purchased Poker Palace when it closed in October for $20 million, according to the Review-Journal.

According to the new brand’s website, construction on the new casino is currently underway and slated to be completed this year, with a summer opening in mind.

“A new locals favorite is coming to North Las Vegas. Formerly the Poker Palace, this iconic neighborhood casino is being completely refreshed and will reopen as Club Fortune North in 2026 after renovations,” the Club Fortune North casino website reads.

“Expect the same friendly vibe locals love—just bigger, brighter, and packed with new ways to play.”

Poker Palace opened in 1974, and like many older neighborhood casinos, it had no hotel. Unfortunately, the casino was one of two to close in North Las Vegas in the last few years. The Silver Nugget closed in late 2023. Near the Nellis Air Force Base, Poker Palace was one of the last casinos in the area to serve the community that wanted to gamble without heading to the Strip or Downtown Las Vegas.

Originally, Poker Palace opened as Bunny’s Bar in the 1950s. The casino featured one restaurant, Maddy’s Paddy Cafe. No word just yet if the cafe will make a return. The website shows that interested parties can expect quick bites and comfort food, a bar, and a full slot floor.

“Club Fortune North is being rebuilt with locals in mind. Whether you’re stopping in for a quick spin, meeting friends for drinks, or chasing your next jackpot, you’ll find a comfortable and welcoming place to relax and have fun,” the website reads.

“This isn’t a mega-resort. It’s the kind of casino where the staff knows your name, the machines are always buzzing, and the good times never stop.”

At the helm of the opening in Truckee Gaming is CEO Ferenc SzonyWhat Now Las Vegas reached out to Szony, but did not hear back by the time of this publication.

“Founded in 2013 by CEO and Managing Partner Ferenc Szony, our portfolio includes Gold Ranch (Verdi & Dayton), Pioneer Crossing (Fernley, Dayton, Yerington), Rail City (Sparks), Club Fortune (Henderson), plus Silverado (Fernley), Silver Strike (Silver Springs), and Carson Plains (Dayton),” The Truckee Gaming website reads.
“Across every property, we keep it simple: clean, comfortable spaces, fair play, good food, and teams who know your name.”
The rebranded Poker Palace casino is anticipated to reopen as Club Fortune North in North Las Vegas at 2757 Las Vegas Blvd by this summer.
“Expect the same friendly vibe locals love—just bigger, brighter, and packed with new ways to play,” the Club Fortune North website reads.
