A new cafe is making moves to brew up a fresh cup for Memphis java fans. The concept is called Saffron Coffee and paperwork suggests it’s coming in the not-too-distant future.

The coffee shop will be percolating into a 3826 Park Avenue storefront. Saffron Coffee-listed in its entirety as “SAFFRON COFFEE CO LLC”-has a certificate of occupancy under review with the Memphis and Shelby County Division of Planning and Development as of May 28. The paperwork does not provide a great deal of insight into the new concept; it does however establish Saffron as a commercial restaurant and cafe.

The cafe does not yet have a digital footprint to shed any further light on what’s to come. What Now Memphis has reached out to ownership for further details and will update readers as additional information becomes available. An opening timeline is, additionally, not clear yet, however a certificate of occupancy is often a good indicator that an establishment is moving at a steady clip, giving Memphians reason to be optimistic about sampling a new coffee establishment in the near future.
