AMP Up1 Hospitality plans to open an original experience-driven hospitality concept next year. The Looking Glass will open in a 38,000-square-foot space at The CTR in Q2 of 2027.

AMP Up1 Hospitality, which opened eatertainment concept Your 3rd Spot in Atlanta in 2022, is drawing inspiration from the classic tale “Alice in Wonderland” to build an immersive entertainment and gaming experience at The CTR. Doug Warner, chief solutions officer at AMP Up1 Hospitality, told What Now Atlanta that they are looking to build the concept around a storyline for customers to follow.

“If you watch a movie you watched a bunch as a kid and come back to it 20 years later, there’s that aura around it that makes you feel a different kind of way. That’s what we wanted to capture with this,” Warner said. “We’re going to push into that feeling of being a kid again and exploring new things and letting your curiosity run wild.”

The Looking Glass will feature a variety of gaming options, including arcade gaming, challenge rooms and immersive art experiences. It will also feature food and beverage elements, including food hall-style The Ember Market, a themed beverage program and tea time experiences with pastries and finger sandwiches.

Warner said the team chose The CTR to debut the concept because of its downtown location and the ongoing revitalization of Downtown Atlanta. Construction is slated to begin following the 2026 FIFA World Cup.

“For the curious, it’s going to be a pretty standout experience,” Warner said.
