The owners of Mezza Luna Pasta & Seafood in Marietta will be rebranding the restaurant to Trattoria Bella this summer. Owner and chef Daniele Furfaro told What Now Atlanta that they hope to host a grand opening for the new concept at 2100 Roswell Rd #2198 in mid-August.
Furfaro said that the name change is partly to differentiate their restaurant from the Mezza Luna Pasta & Seafood in Smyrna, which is under different ownership. Trattoria Bella will also pave the way for a new, elevated chapter for Furfaro and the family-owned restaurant.
“We want to be one of the best restaurants here in Marietta,” Furfaro said.
Trattoria Bella will feature an upscale menu with both classic Italian dishes and high-end entrees such as steak, lobster and sea bass.
“Mezza Luna Pasta & Seafood remains your neighborhood Italian table in Marietta: handmade pastas, seafood, wine, cocktails and service that makes dinner feel personal,” the website states. “Trattoria Bella is the next chapter, carrying the same spirit into a refreshed experience.”
Furfaro said they plan to make a subtle, gradual transition to the new concept. They do not plan to close the restaurant to make way for the change, but might close for a few days to make minor cosmetic changes and complete the rebranding process.
