A walk along Seattle’s waterfront may soon come with an extra scoop of Cherry Garcia, Half Baked, or Chocolate Chip Cookie Dough.
Ben & Jerry’s is preparing to open a permanent location at Pier 54, according to the Puget Sound Business Journal. Franchise owner Lance Blair expects the shop to debut in late 2026 or early 2027 in the former Premier Meat Pies space at 1001 Alaskan Way.
The upcoming store will be operated by Blair and his wife, Moria Blair, who already operate Ben & Jerry’s locations in Green Lake, Gig Harbor, and Northgate.
The waterfront location builds on a presence the Blairs have already established at the pier. A seasonal Ben & Jerry’s pop-up opened in May and is expected to remain in operation through mid-September, giving visitors a preview of the permanent shop.
Founded in 1978 by Ben Cohen and Jerry Greenfield in Burlington, Vermont, Ben & Jerry’s has grown from a single scoop shop into one of the world’s most recognizable ice cream brands.
The company is known for its inventive flavors, commitment to responsibly sourced ingredients, and long-running support of social and environmental causes.
Customers can expect many of the brand’s best-known offerings, including ice cream cones, cups, sundaes, shakes, and a rotating selection of its signature flavors.
The new shop joins a growing lineup of food, beverage, and retail destinations along Seattle’s revitalized waterfront, an area that continues to attract millions of visitors each year.
