Wayfair is set to open its new Columbus store this month, bringing a “smaller format” retail concept to Polaris as the online furniture giant expands its physical footprint, according to Columbus Business First.
The Boston-based retailer will open its 70,000-square-foot store at 1553 Gemini Place on June 18 at 10 a.m. The location marks one of only a handful of brick-and-mortar stores for Wayfair and serves as its first test of a smaller-format model.
Wayfair is moving into a space previously occupied by Art Van Furniture, which has been vacant since 2020. The opening will include promotions such as discounts of up to 70%, gift card giveaways for the first 100 customers each day, and grand opening events featuring food trucks and entertainment.
Grand opening celebrations are planned from June 26 through June 28 during regular store hours.
