There’s good news on the horizon for Memphis drivers trying to ensure their vehicles remain in tip-top condition. Shift & Go Tires & Auto, a new store focused on providing the necessary tools for a happy, healthy car, has filed papers to open in the city.

The storefront is setting up shop at 4475 Macon Road. Shift & Go Tires & Auto has a certificate of occupancy under review with the Memphis and Shelby County Division of Planning and Development as of June 3. The submitted paperwork shows that the establishment will have a dedicated 2,000 square feet and an occupant load of 10.

Very little information is available about the concept beyond the fact that it will offer “Retail Sales & Service”, as well as the clues offered by the name. Shift & Go Tires & Auto will continue the location’s history of providing automotive support; the space previously housed Compact Auto Service.

There is no word yet on when the store will be customer ready. Shift & Go Tires & Auto does not presently have a digital footprint, however the certificate of occupancy application is a positive indicator of forward momentum. What Now Memphis has reached out to ownership for further details and will update readers as information becomes available.
