Dick’s House of Sport is set to bring its immersive sports retail concept to Oakwood Plaza in Hollywood

Construction is underway for the new store, planned for 2800 Oakwood Boulevard. It replaces the former Regal Cinemas site as part of a long-term redevelopment of the shopping center. The project calls for a 120,000-square-foot facility featuring both indoor retail space and outdoor sports experiences. An opening date has not been announced.

Owned by DICK’S Sporting Goods, the House of Sport concept debuted in 2021 and combines traditional sporting goods retail with interactive stations designed to encourage customers to test equipment and participate in athletic activities. Depending on the location, House of Sport stores can include climbing walls, golf simulators, batting cages, turf fields and community event spaces.

The Hollywood location will be the first full-service Dick’s House of Sport in Broward and one of the company’s largest experiential retail destinations in the region. The store is expected to serve athletes, families and outdoor enthusiasts throughout Broward while helping transform Oakwood Plaza into a next-generation retail and entertainment hub.
