“Finally!” said a post published on Instagram by Tampa Bay Is Awesome in early June. “We have a tenant coming to the vacant spot on Cass St. between Tampa St and Franklin. Super excited to welcome [Palazzo Pizza] this summer!”

Headed up by Jason Fox and the team at Josephine’s Italian Market, Palazzo Pizza Italiana will open at 214 E Cass St.

Renderings of the space posted on the restaurant’s Instagram page show a moody interior with a room-length bar, along with large semi-circular booths. Details on the menu appear still to be under wraps, but a previous instantiation of Palazzo Pizza, located on West Platt Street and active on the same Instagram account until May 2024, served up dishes like the Lion Pizza, the Say Cheese Pizza, and Fried Mozzarella.

What Now reached out to Jason Fox on Thursday to ask about plans for the opening. Fox was not immediately available for comment.
