Bay Club Company, a fitness and lifestyle club operator, is getting ready to fully own its El Segundo athletic campus at 2250 Park Place.

The acquisition covers the Bay Club El Segundo property, a roughly 105,000-square-foot athletic and wellness campus located within the Continental Park master-planned business center, according to L.A. Business First. The $42 million transaction completes Bay Club’s purchase of both the land and existing facilities after previously acquiring a building on the site in 2017 and operating under a long-term ground lease. The club serves more than 8,000 members, and customers can expect continued operations along with ongoing enhancements to the existing fitness and lifestyle amenities.

The El Segundo campus sits on approximately 5.4 acres in the South Bay and has been a key part of Bay Club’s expansion in the Los Angeles market since the company entered the region in 2015 through its acquisition of Spectrum Athletic Clubs. The latest transaction gives Bay Club full control of one of its flagship Southern California locations and marks a long-term commitment to the property.

The company has invested heavily in the surrounding Rosecrans and Sepulveda corridor, with more than $200 million dedicated to upgrades and development across the South Bay market. This location remains one of the largest in the Bay Club portfolio, which spans more than 35 clubs across the West Coast serving approximately 150,000 members.

The El Segundo campus features a resort-style layout with fitness studios, group classes, swimming, basketball, cycling, recovery amenities, and dedicated spaces for both adults and children. Recent updates to the facility include a renovated entrance and lobby, refreshed Café Vida, new outdoor dining and lounge areas, updated conference suites, and the addition of an IGNITE Studio.

The property also includes expanded programming for families, highlighted by a 14,000-square-foot Clubhouse space designed for kids’ activities and events. The campus continues to operate as a full-service athletic club, offering a mix of fitness, wellness, dining, and community programming throughout the week.
