Something new is in the works at the intersection of Main and Delaware Streets in Safety Harbor. A new bar is in the works that will also provide a great place to bring your dog. It’s called The Barking Lot, and according to submitted plan review documents, it’s opening at 946 Main Street.

The project received approval from the Safety Harbor City Commission back in February, as the Tampa Bay Times reported. The coverage described the Barking Lot as “a 1,058-square-foot tavern and ‘dog dining’ facility.”

What Now reached out on Thursday to owner Steven Butler to ask about plans for the Barking Lot. Butler was not immediately available for comment.

This means that apart from the basics of the bar setting and the inclusion of a leash-free zone for dogs, much of the details about the Barking Lot are still TBA.

Stay tuned for more information on the Barking Lot as it becomes available!
