Bruiser’s “The Hot Dog Place” is preparing to open a new location in Covington as construction continues at the future restaurant.

The new location will be at 1614 N. Columbia Street. According to updates shared on the company’s website and Facebook page, the team is targeting a summer opening and has been regularly keeping customers informed on the project’s progress.

Recent social media posts highlighted inspections and ongoing construction work, giving followers a behind-the-scenes look at the development of the new restaurant. Bruiser’s owned by Kevin and Melissa Barduca. Bruiser’s opened its doors in Slidell in 2014.

The restaurant is known for its hot dogs, loaded creations. Some of the fan favorites include dog Duca, dog All American and dog Chicago.

Among the many other hotdogs, the sausage menu also includes The Rizzo, mild Italian sausage with mustard, grilled onions, and mild giardiniera and The Texan which is beef brisket link with bacon, grilled onions, coleslaw, and cheddar.
