The Cutting District is a popular barbershop in the Upper West Side that recently signed a lease for a new cross-town location at 1309 Lexington Ave. Located across from Immanuel Lutheran Church, the Carnegie Hill location will be a 1,000-square-foot space in a multi-use building with several other ground-floor storefronts, according to TradedNY. The barber shop has not formally announced the new location, nor whether it will be a second shop or a relocation. What Now New York has reached out for more information.

The Cutting District is styled as more of a modern barber shop, with an active presence on social media. Its official Facebook page says the barbers provide “sharp cuts, fresh fades, and classic shaves.” The barbershop also prides itself on being kid-friendly, with many Facebook posts showing kids with fresh cuts. The current, original location opened in the spring of 2025.
