A popular American grill is expanding across South Carolina.
J Peters Grill & Bar, founded by Jon Angell in 2010, is coming to Coastal Centre in Conway, according to the company’s website.
Rise Partners acquired the shopping center in October 2024 and has since been redeveloping the property with new restaurants, retailers and service providers.
J Peters Grill & Bar is known for its made-from-scratch American cuisine. The menu features appetizers, soups and salads, as well as sandwiches, burgers, steaks, ribs, seafood and chicken entrees. Guests can pair their meals with sides such as French fries, baked potatoes, mashed potatoes, queso mashed potatoes, broccoli, fresh collard greens and yellow rice.
The bar program features signature cocktails such as the Chocolate Covered Cherry Martini, made with Pearl Cherry Vodka, Mozart Chocolate Liqueur and chocolate sauce; the J Peters Punch, featuring RumHaven Coconut Rum, pineapple juice and orange juice topped with a Kraken Dark Spiced Rum floater; and the Tail Feathers Martini, crafted with vodka, PAMA Pomegranate Liqueur, raspberry liqueur and lemonade.
The restaurant currently operates locations in Lavonia, Georgia, and Anderson, Mauldin, Pawleys Island, Murrells Inlet, Carolina Forest and North Myrtle Beach, South Carolina. The Conway restaurant will expand the chain’s growing footprint.
Phase one of construction at Coastal Centre began in the spring and summer of 2026, with the first tenants expected to open later this year.
