One of Fort Lauderdale’s most beloved waterfront restaurants is making a long-awaited return.

P66 Hotel Ops LLC filed permit applications with the Florida Department of Business and Professional Regulation to reopen a completely reimagined Pelican Landing at the reopened Pier Sixty-Six, located at 2301 SE 17 Street in Fort Lauderdale. An exact opening date has not been announced.

The reopening of the waterside bar is part of the ongoing evolution of the iconic Pier Sixty-Six, bringing back the laid-back dock-and-dine experience that made it a favorite among boaters and locals for decades. Guests can once again expect fresh seafood, tropical cocktails, marina views and the ability to pull up by boat.

The restaurant’s return follows the grand reimagining of Pier Sixty-Six in January 2025 after a nearly eight-year closure and a $1 billion redevelopment. The 32-acre resort, originally opened in 1965, was transformed into a luxury waterfront destination featuring a 325-room resort, a 164-slip superyacht marina, multiple restaurants and lounges, a world-class spa, private residences, and expanded public waterfront spaces.

Pier Sixty-Six is owned and was redeveloped by Tavistock Development Company, the real estate arm of Tavistock Group, while the resort is managed by CoralTree Hospitality. The redevelopment preserved the property’s iconic tower and restored it as one of Fort Lauderdale’s most recognizable landmarks.
