Salt + Waves Salon, the locally rooted hair concept specializing in personalized coloring, cuts, and extensions with signature techniques, plans to bring its bespoke approach to beauty to Georgetown. According to public filings, the salon plans to open at 3701 W. Highway 29, Building 18, Unit 18102, within the Retail at Preserve development.
Salt + Waves is known for its luxury hair services, including color and cutting, extensions, and relaxers. The brand emphasizes delivering these services in a relaxed, welcoming environment where clients feel cared for, while also investing in its stylists through ongoing education, training, and mentorship to ensure a consistently high level of service.
What Now Austin reached out to founder Libby Bednareck, who shared that they aim to open in September 2026. She told this outlet that she ‘couldn’t be more excited’ as they move through the build-out phase, with a focus on creating a ‘beautiful, welcoming space that reflects the elevated experience their guests have come to expect.’”
The expansion into Georgetown comes as the city continues to experience significant growth, which played an important role in the decision to open there. “Georgetown has experienced incredible growth, and we’re excited to become part of that community,” Bednareck told What Now Austin.
“We can’t wait to bring our signature laid-back luxury experience to Georgetown and welcome both new and existing guests into the salon,” she added.
Founded in 2019 by Libby Bednareck in Leander, Salt + Waves was built around the idea of personalized hair care, with a carefully selected team of stylists delivering experiences tailored to each client, according to the salon’s website. The Georgetown location would mark the brand’s third outpost in the Austin metro, following its existing Leander and Hutto locations.
The Georgetown expansion places Salt + Waves in one of Williamson County’s fastest-growing corridors, where demand for boutique wellness and beauty services has risen alongside rapid residential development.
