Plans for a newspaper-inspired panini shop are hot off the press.

Presswell’s Sandwich Co., owned by Warren de Villiers, will debut this fall at 1206 C. Cottage Lane in Conway, according to the shop’s Facebook page.

With the interior design finalized, construction is now underway.

Presswell’s Sandwich Co. plans to pair a contemporary industrial aesthetic with exposed red brick walls, brown leather booths and dark wood tables. Large grid mirrors, brass dome lamps and decorative lighting create a nostalgic atmosphere.

The Post and Courier reported the menu will embrace the newspaper theme with creatively named sandwiches, including The Front Page, made with grilled chicken, mozzarella, fresh basil and sun-dried tomato pesto; The Exclusive, featuring roasted turkey breast, Swiss cheese, Granny Smith apples and fig spread; and The Ink and Apple Melt, which combines roast beef, cheddar, Granny Smith apples and horseradish sauce.

“Whether you are a local resident, a student at nearby Coastal Carolina University, or just passing through the Grand Strand area, our mission is to provide delicious, made-to-order meals with friendly service,” the website reads.

An official opening date has not been announced. Once open, the shop will operate daily from 10 a.m. to 8 p.m.
