The Health Club could be expanding its footprint in the Charlotte region. According to the Charlotte Business Journal, founder Addy Collett is evaluating potential locations in SouthPark, Lake Norman, and Fort Mill as the boutique fitness and recovery concept plans its next phase of growth.
The publication reports that the company is seeking a space of up to 22,000 square feet, larger than its current facility, to accommodate additional amenities such as a smoothie or coffee bar while improving operational flow.
The Health Club opened at 4000 Monroe Road in February 2025 and has quickly gained traction. Collett told the Charlotte Business Journal the club now has approximately 1,800 members and a 500-person waitlist, prompting the search for additional locations.
The current club offers an open gym, boutique fitness studios, personal training, Pilates, and recovery amenities including saunas, steam rooms, and hot-and-cold plunge facilities. According to The Health Club’s website, standard memberships begin at $270 per month for individuals and $430 per month for couples.
While no timeline has been announced for a second location, Collett told the Charlotte Business Journal the priority is expanding without compromising the member experience. “We’re focused on what we can add to the experience every month. We’re member obsessed,” Collett told the the publication.
As the company explores additional Charlotte-area locations, SouthPark, Lake Norman, and Fort Mill appear to be leading contenders for its next club.
