Just off Main Street in Downtown Auburndale, a new restaurant will soon be serving up Cajun cooking. Called Bebos Cajun Kitchen, this new spot is opening at 117 E Lake Ave, Suite 101, according to recently submitted plan review documents.

“We’re going to be serving Cajun-style food,” owner Phillip Robinson told What Now on Friday. “Po Boys, Shrimp & Grits, Jambalaya, Gumbo. It’s a unique place for the Polk County area. For Louisiana-style food, we have to go to Lakeland.”

Opening in the East Lake Avenue Space, Bebos Cajun Kitchen will feature green, gold, and black coloring, comfortable booths, and indoor and outdoor seating for a total of about 130 guests.

No official opening date has been set yet for Bebos Cajun Kitchen, but Robinson says the restaurant is working toward the goal of a late-September launch.
