Buffalo Wild Wings, one of the country’s most recognized sports bar chains, plans to debut in Kyle.
What Now Austin spoke to Donald Semien, Chief Operating Officer of DLK Foods, a franchisee for the upcoming Buffalo Wild Wings location, who shared that the chain plans to open its doors as early as late August or early September 2026.
According to public filings, the restaurant will occupy nearly 5,500 square feet at 1080 Kohlers Crossing, at the corner of Kohlers Crossing and FM 1626.
Semien told What Now Austin that the site’s visibility and high traffic counts made it a natural fit. “It’s an A site. There’s also a lot of families and residential surrounding the property. Kyle ranks as one of the fastest growing cities in the United States, so we felt that not only that location, but the city of Kyle is great given the rapid growth,” he said.
Buffalo Wild Wings’ menu features bone-in and boneless wings, crispy chicken dippers, sandwiches, wraps, and salads, alongside a full bar and multiple televisions for sports viewing. The chain operates more than 1,400 locations nationwide.
Semien, who operates the location as a family-owned franchisee, said he wants the Kyle community to see this as their own place, not just another corporate chain. “For the residents of Kyle, it’s going to be their Buffalo Wild Wings,” he told What Now Austin. He added that the group plans to sponsor local teams, hire from within the community, and actively give back. “We wanna be an active member in the community and not just another business that’s there.”
The Kyle opening is part of a broader Austin-area push for Semien’s group, which recently opened a Buffalo Wild Wings Go in Round Rock, has another Go under construction off Airport Boulevard in Austin, and is in site development for a full sports bar in Bastrop.
