A New York-based soup dumpling restaurant has expanded into Georgia with its first location in the state. A grand opening celebration is scheduled for August 3.
Nan Xiang Makes Georgia Debut
New York-based soup dumpling brand Nan Xiang Soup Dumplings opened its first Georgia restaurant in Buford on July 3. The restaurant located next to Regal Mall of Georgia at 3333 Buford Drive, Suite 2022E, Buford. The location serves the brand’s handmade Shanghai-style soup dumplings and other regional specialties.
Nan Xiang Soup Dumplings first opened in 2006 and has been on the Michelin Guide’s recommended list for nine consecutive years. The opening marks the brand’s first Georgia location as it continues expanding beyond its New York roots. The opening expands the brand’s footprint beyond New York and marks its entry into the metro Atlanta market.
The restaurant opens daily from 12 p.m. to 8 p.m. After this soft opening period, it will celebrate a grand opening on August 3. The celebrations will feature community festivities for guests to enjoy.

Menu Highlights
The Buford location is serving many of Nan Xiang’s signature dishes during this soft opening period. Menu highlights include the Lucky Six Soup Dumplings, which feature six different fillings. It also serves traditional pork soup dumplings (xiao long bao) and pan-fried pork buns.
The restaurant’s menu includes Shanghai-style noodles, wok-fried rice and noodle dishes, and scallion pancakes. The beverage menu includes house-made fruit teas and soy milk. The restaurant will serve more dishes after its grand opening next month.
