A pop-up is preparing to open the doors to its first brick-and-mortar location in Sylvan Hills. Bodega Bar ATL, which began three years ago as a New York City-inspired pop-up, will open in a 2,100-square-foot space at 1085 Katherwood Drive SW, according to a recently filed permit.
Owner Caleb Giles told What Now Atlanta that the space has undergone some small cosmetic changes and they are now awaiting a liquor license and final inspections.
Bodega Bar ATL’s menu features “New York City-based food with a twist,” according to Giles. Menu items include chopped cheese with fontina cheese sauce, General Tso’s chicken, chicken parm with a gochujang marinara and Nathan’s hot dogs. The spot will also serve cocktails, beer and wine. When Bodega Bar ATL opens, Giles hopes to provide an affordable menu for customers.
Giles shared that they make most of their pastries and breads in house and plan to do weekly pop-ups to showcase local bartenders and chefs.
