One of the nation’s fastest-growing restaurant brands is expanding in Broward County.

Hans Hot Chicken Davie LLC just filed permit applications with the Florida Department of Business and Professional Regulation to open a Dave’s Hot Chicken at 2631 S. University Drive in Davie, bringing its signature Nashville-style hot chicken to the neighborhood. An opening date has not been announced.

Founded in 2017 by childhood friends Dave Kopushyan, Arman Oganesyan, Tommy Rubenyan and Gary Rubenyan, the concept began as a humble parking lot pop-up in East Hollywood, California, with just $900 and a portable fryer. Less than a decade later, Dave’s Hot Chicken has grown into an international sensation with more than 400 locations worldwide following an aggressive expansion across the United States and overseas.

Known for its hand-breaded chicken tenders and sliders served at seven spice levels—from “No Spice” to the fiery “Reaper”—the restaurant also offers fries, mac and cheese, kale slaw and milkshakes. The chicken is  always cooked to order, ensuring that customers receive fresh, delicious chicken every time.
