La Tequila, a family-owned Texas restaurant group with roots across the Hill Country and the Gulf Coast, is bringing a new location and concept to Marble Falls. According to public filings, La Tequila plans to open at 900 West Ranch Road 1431.
What Now Austin spoke with Cesar Flores, co-founder, who shared that an opening is targeted for late September or early October 2026.
The Marble Falls location will stand apart from the group’s existing restaurants. Rather than a traditional Mexican food menu, the team is taking a different direction: breakfast and brunch in the morning, then shifting to a seafood-and-Mexican fusion menu in the afternoons. “We’re going to do something a little different than what we do here,” Flores told What Now. “Our guests are going to be very surprised by what we can offer them.”
For Flores, the opening is personal. As a Marble Falls resident for more than 10 years, he sees the restaurant as an investment in the community he calls home. “I think we’re going to be an asset to the community, and I am excited to serve there,” he said.
La Tequila currently operates locations in Kingsland, San Antonio, and Rockport, among others, with the Marble Falls outpost marking its seventh location. The group also has another project underway in Liberty Hill — a ground-up build that Flores expects to open between late 2027 and early 2028.
Despite the growth, the family has no plans to become a chain. “We’re still a family-owned restaurant,” Flores told What Now Austin. “We don’t want to be a chain — we’re still trying to expand within our own limits.”
