A new Domino’s Pizza is coming to the FM 969 corridor in East Austin. According to public filings, the location is planned at 14509 FM 969, Suite 110, with a targeted completion date of late 2026.
What Now Austin spoke with Kevin Merritt, Operations Chief and Director at Mac Pizza Management Inc., the franchisee behind the project, who shared that, due to construction complications, the opening is now expected by the end of the year. A firm opening date will be announced at a later time.
Domino’s Pizza is one of the largest pizza chains in the world, with more than 20,000 locations across 90 countries. Its menu spans hand-tossed, thin-crust, and pan pizzas, along with pasta, sandwiches, chicken, and desserts, and features a tech-forward ordering experience that includes real-time pizza tracking and a robust delivery infrastructure. The brand has leaned heavily into delivery and carryout efficiency, making corridor locations with strong road visibility a key part of its real estate strategy.
Merritt said the FM 969 site was a deliberate choice. “We believe that this space is an ideal location that will provide visibility and easy access for our pick-up order customers while also positioned well for us to provide great service to our delivery customers,” he told What Now Austin.
The FM 969 corridor connects East Austin to the growing communities of Elgin and Manor, serving a predominantly residential area that has seen significant population growth in recent years. “We look forward to providing a tasty product and great service to the community,” Merritt said.
