A highly rated restaurant will be setting up shop in the town this year

Long Island Cafe recently announced their second location is coming to Marshall off of Exit 110 near Interstate 94. This will be accompanied by their expansion in Battle Creek as they recently purchased the lot next door to their restaurant at 256 Helmer Road North. The team is hoping to open the new restaurant in mid-September.

“None of this would be possible without each and every one of you. Your loyalty, encouragement, and continued support have allowed us to grow beyond anything we could have imagined. We are truly grateful for the opportunity to serve this incredible community every single day,” says a post from the owners.

The cafe owned by local Josh Thompson is known as a breakfast destination, with favorites like The Tsunami omelette with eggs, ham, sausage, bacon, gravy and cheddar cheese. Traditional breakfasts are also offered, as well as their Island Sandwiches and even pancake tacos. The menu is expected to stay the same at the new location.

The team is opening the new spot next to Johnny’s Markets at 15423 US Highway 27 N. This is a convenience store in the area, and is next to a Shell gas station. The space for the new cafe is now under construction.

What Now Detroit has reached out to the owners about the new location. As it gets closer to the opening, the team at Long Island Cafe will be updating the community on construction progress on their Facebook page.
