An Italian chocolate concept is bringing its sweet creations to the North Shore.
According to the mall’s website, Dolcella Italia is preparing to open its fourth Massachusetts location at Peabody’s Northshore Mall, located at 210 Andover Street. The new kiosk will be located on the upper level in front of Tilly’s.
Permits filed under Candy Break LLC reveal plans for a 108-square-foot kiosk space measuring 9 feet by 12 feet. While the compact storefront may be small, the brand’s signature chocolate experience is designed to make a big impression.
Founded in Valle d’Aosta in the Italian Alps, Dolcella Italia specializes in chocolate-covered strawberries, specialty chocolates, and Italian-inspired desserts. The concept combines fresh ingredients, European chocolate, and an interactive preparation process, with each order assembled right in front of customers.
Guests can watch as fresh fruit is dipped into flowing chocolate, toppings are added, and dessert cups are made to order, turning a simple sweet treat into a more immersive experience.
“Our live chocolate fountain isn’t decoration — it’s the core of the Dolcella experience,” reads the company’s website. “Premium European chocolate cascades continuously, creating an irresistible visual and aromatic pull that draws customers from across the mall floor.”
The North Shore location will mark Dolcella Italia’s fourth Massachusetts kiosk and eighth location in the United States. The company currently operates additional mall locations in Pennsylvania, New Hampshire, Delaware, and Massachusetts, including sites in Cambridge, Burlington, and Saugus.
Local operator Anil Tanriverdi confirmed the upcoming Northshore Mall expansion with What Now Boston, noting that additional details are expected to be shared by the team next week.
