Alpharetta City Center is a 26-acre mixed-use development features more than 30 shops, restaurants, and service providers. The new opening is the company’s third location in Georgia, joining its existing venues at The Battery Atlanta and The Interlock.

“Sandbox VR is an exciting addition to Alpharetta City Center and another example of the unique experiences we’re bringing to downtown Alpharetta,” said Lisa Carter, property manager for Alpharetta City Center. “It offers residents, visitors and businesses a one-of-a-kind destination where people can celebrate, connect and create lasting memories.”

Sandbox VR will celebrate the opening of its Alpharetta location with a ribbon-cutting ceremony. The ribbon-cutting ceremony will include music by DJ Smash Kash and an appearance by Sara, a remote-controlled baby Triceratops inspired by the company’s Age of the Dinosaurs VR experience.

At the Alpharetta location, Sandbox VR will offer its immersive full-body virtual reality experiences powered by motion capture, body tracking, and haptic feedback technology. Guests can walk around, interact with teammates, and explore virtual worlds together instead of remaining stationary.

The new location will feature several VR adventures, including Squid Game Virtuals, Stranger Things: Catalyst, and Age of the Dinosaurs. It will also include Rebel Moon: The Descent, Curse of Davy Jones, Amber Sky 2088, Deadwood Valley, Deadwood PHOBIA, and Seekers of the Shard: Dragonfire. The venue will also serve as a destination for private events. It includes four VR arenas, a dedicated party room, and event packages for birthdays, school groups, and other events.

“We’re excited to bring the world’s best virtual reality experience to Alpharetta,” said a representative for Sandbox VR. “Our mission is to create unforgettable experiences that bring people together. Whether you’re celebrating a birthday, hosting a company event, planning a date night, or spending time with family and friends, Sandbox VR delivers an adventure unlike anything you’ve experienced before. We’re proud to become part of the Alpharetta community and can’t wait to welcome our first guests.”
