Keke’s Breakfast Cafe, now powered by Denny’s, is expanding considerably in recent years. What Now reported back in April on plans for a new Keke’s to at 725 Skymarks Drive in Jacksonville. Meanwhile, a new Keke’s opened in Mandarin on June 2—behind it, franchisee RREMC Restaurants.
Helmed by President John Metz, RREMC Restaurants is opening several Keke’s locations in Northeast Florida, reports the Jacksonville Business Journal.
In addition to the Mandarin location, RREMC Restaurants is planning to add “two more Keke’s locations at unidentified sites—one in 2027 and one in 2028,” the Business Journal coverage said.
RREMC Restaurants is no newcomer to the Keke’s concept: the franchisee owns more than 80 Denny’s locations, plus a number of Keke’s Breakfast Cafes. These brands constitute two separate but ultimately complementary approaches to breakfast.
“The operational differences between Denny’s 24-hour model and Keke’s limited hours create distinct staffing challenges and customer experiences, with each restaurant generating similar revenue through vastly different approaches to volume and service,” the Business Journal coverage says.
The Keke’s menu features all your favorite breakfast classics: waffles, pancakes, French toast, omelets, and Stuffed French Toast in varieties like Apple Cinnamon, Banana Caramel Pecan, and Stuffed French Toast with Nutella. For lunch, you’ll find paninis like the Cheese Steak Panini and the Italian Chicken Panini, plus other handhelds like the B.L.T., the Bacon Cheeseburger, and the Carolina Chicken Wrap.
