A fast-growing fitness franchise specializing in infrared sauna workouts is making its way to the Merrimack Valley.
HOTWORX is preparing to open a new studio in Haverhill‘s Westgate Market Place, located at 400 Lowell Avenue, Unit 5, confirmed local franchisee Allison Soukseunchay. The team is currently building out the approximately 2,700-square-foot space and is aiming to welcome members later this year.
Founded in Oxford, Mississippi in 2017, HOTWORX has grown to more than 850 locations worldwide, including six in Massachusetts. The 24-hour fitness franchise combines virtually instructed workouts with infrared heat technology, allowing members to exercise inside heated infrared saunas any time of day.
Members can choose from a range of sessions, including 15-minute high-intensity interval training (HIIT) workouts and 30-minute isometric classes such as Hot Yoga, Hot Pilates, Hot Core, Hot Cycle, Hot Blast, rowing, and strength training.
As the first HOTWORX location for Soukseunchay and her business partner, Vinh Le, the Haverhill studio will feature 10 infrared saunas, as well as a functional training area dedicated to the brand’s FX (Functional Exercise) Zone. For the local owners, opening in Haverhill was a natural decision.
“Haverhill is a growing city with a thriving small business community and an increasing focus on health and wellness,” Soukseunchay told What Now Boston. “We saw an opportunity to introduce an innovative fitness concept that isn’t currently available in the area. By offering 24-hour access, virtually instructed workouts, and infrared sauna technology, HOTWORX makes it easier for busy individuals to prioritize their health. Our hope is to create a supportive community space where people can truly invest in themselves.”
