Partake, the wine, cheese, and cocktail lounge already known in downtown Grants Pass, is opening a second location at 221 SE 6th St, according to owner Patti Hillier, who confirmed the news directly to What Now Portland. Hillier said the new spot will operate as a wine shop, restaurant and lounge, mirroring the format that built Partake’s following at its original 111 SE G St location. She said the team is hoping for an early to mid-October opening.

Partake first opened in downtown Grants Pass as a combined wine and cheese shop, cocktail lounge and fine dining restaurant, drawing praise for its curated international wine list and a tasting menu led by Chef Justin Wolf. The original location has built a loyal following, with reviewers pointing to the shop’s rotating selection of wines from around the world, a cocktail program built around seasonal ingredients, and a fine dining menu that leans on local, organic sourcing.

Hillier said specific details on the new location, including its full concept and menu, would need to come from the restaurant’s manager, Sean, who she said would follow up directly once available. She did not have further details to share on staffing, design or hours for the new spot at the time of the interview.

The move suggests Partake is looking to expand its footprint within Grants Pass rather than opening in a new city, giving the brand two locations in Southern Oregon’s Rogue Valley region.
