Island Pacific Supermarket appears to be expanding to Arleta, according to a recent ABC filing. It is eyeing a space at 8625 Woodman Ave.

This location will join 17 existing stores for the brand in California, including stores in West Covina, Canoga Park and Granada Hills. There are also three stores in Las Vegas and one in Washington.

Island Pacific has been serving as a neighborhood Filipino grocery store since 2000. The store also feature Philhouse, a cafe serving authentic home-cooked Filipino meals.

What Now Los Angeles attempted to reach the ownership team for additional details on the opening timeline for the new store but did not hear back prior to the time of publication.

It appears that Island Pacific is also expanding in the Las Vegas area, with a new store lined up to open in that market later this year.
