Vallejo Taphouse is preparing to open at 905 Lincoln Rd. E. in Vallejo, taking over the space previously occupied by The Coconut Grove. Owner Pardeep Sharma told WhatNow that the restaurant is undergoing cosmetic remodeling and is targeting an opening in the beginning of September.
The new concept will follow a similar format to the owners’ other Taphouse operation in Antioch, while tailoring the menu to the Vallejo community. The restaurant will operate as a community-focused restaurant and tap house, with an emphasis on food prepared from scratch and service.
The kitchen will serve American-style food, with sauces and other components prepared in-house. Pasta sauces will be made to order rather than pre-batched, while meats will be cut in-house. The menu will also include pizza, with the restaurant highlighting its pizzas among the items it expects to serve. The menu will also include fish and chips and chicken fettuccine, which is among Antioch Taphouse’s most popular offerings.
The restaurant is also planning collaborations with local businesses, including a beer-batter preparation using beer from Mare Island Brewing Co.
