Capris Trattoria Pizzeria, a new Italian-focused restaurant concept with pizza as one of its main components, is getting ready to open in Thousand Oaks at 140 W Hillcrest Dr, Suite 117.

The new concept will replace Marcello Ristorante, according to owner Nando Silvestri, who tells What Now Los Angeles that Capris Trattoria Pizzeria is expected to open in mid-September in Lincoln Oaks Village. The restaurant will be Silvestri’s third concept under Tutto Bene Restaurant Group, following Prima Cantina and Spumoni. The new restaurant will focus on Italian food, with pizza playing a central role on the menu.

Silvestri has operated restaurants in Malibu, Southern California, and Texas for more than 30 years. His restaurant career began with Spumoni in Westwood, and he currently operates Prima Cantina locations in Santa Monica, Pacific Palisades, and Malibu, which opened at the beginning of the year.

Capris Trattoria Pizzeria will bring a different food focus to Silvestri’s growing restaurant group, with Italian cuisine and pizza expected to be central to the new concept. Additional menu details have not been provided. The restaurant will take over the space formerly occupied by Marcello’s in Lincoln Oaks Village.

The Thousand Oaks location will be near Village at Moorpark and Janss Marketplace, making this an excellent spot for the new restaurant. With an expected opening in mid-September, Capris Trattoria Pizzeria will add another concept to Silvestri’s restaurant group while introducing his Italian-focused concept to Thousand Oaks.
