The restaurant formerly known as Pizzicata – Mesa has officially rebranded as Scarpetta on the Green. Located at 6210 E. McKellips Rd. inside Painted Mountain Golf Resort in northeast Mesa, the restaurant remains owned by David and Stefany Pope.

The rebrand applies only to the former Mesa location. Pizzicata Carefree, at 7212 E. Hum Rd. in Carefree, and Pizzicata Glendale, at 19420 N. 59th Ave. in Glendale, will continue operating under the Pizzicata name.

David Pope purchased Pizzicata – Mesa after spending more than 35 years working in manufacturing, operations, sales, and business development. The transition into restaurant ownership was an opportunity to build something closer to home.

The new identity reflects the restaurant’s location overlooking the golf course while keeping its focus on Italian food. In Italian dining tradition, “fare la scarpetta” refers to using bread to soak up the remaining sauce on a plate.

The menu includes house-made pasta, sauces, dough, bread, and desserts, along with Roman-style pinsa and Neapolitan-style pizza. Guests can also find breakfast dishes, handcrafted cocktails, beer, and wine.

Scarpetta on the Green will also continue offering golf course views, live entertainment, catering, takeout, and delivery. The restaurant’s website and social media pages now reflect the new branding.
