Offering “Fine Spirits” and “Quality Fare” at 225 Meeting Street in Charleston, Doar Bros. will soon be expanding its service to include coffee and breakfast with a new concept called Cafe Lucca.
According to coverage by the Post and Courier, the idea to open up the cocktail bar for coffee and baked goods in the morning is one that owners Jonathan and Adam Doar have talked about for some time. With Cafe Lucca, it’s finally happening.
Named for Jonathan’s son, Lucca, Cafe Lucca will be open from 8 a.m. to 1 p.m. Monday through Wednesday. In the coverage, Jonathan Doar tells the Post and Courier that Cafe Lucca was ultimately a “‘why not’ project,” something done as an experiment, for the fun of it.
At Cafe Lucca, expect to find “cold brew, cortados, lattes, cappuccinos and Americanos made with locally roasted beans and infused with house-made syrups.” You’ll also find “a breakfast sandwich with seared mortadella and white American cheese, brioche French toast, a whipped yogurt parfait and a prosciutto panino on hot-pressed focaccia,” plus pastries.
Stay tuned for an update as What Now is awaiting more details from the Doar Bros. team.
