Reese’s Puffs has added a limited-edition PB+J cereal to its lineup ahead of the back-to-school season. The new offering builds on the company’s signature profile with a sweet, fruity addition. Available for a limited time, the cereal is available now across U.S. retail outlets.

Reese’s Puffs Adds PB+J Cereal

The new cereal is inspired by Reese’s PB+J Cups, according to Business Wire, the latest cereal is inspired by the company’s Reese’s PB+J Cups. It combines Reese’s Puffs’ peanut butter and chocolate flavors with strawberry jelly.

Megan Brooks, Business Unit Director for Reese’s Puffs at General Mills, said the brand wanted to bring the peanut butter-and-jelly combination to cereal after seeing the response to Reese’s PB+J Cups.

Brooks said, “Perhaps the only flavor pairing that stands up as well as peanut butter and chocolate is peanut butter and jelly, so we figured it was time to combine all three in one epic bowl of Reese’s Puffs cereal. After seeing fans eat up the Reese’s PB+J Cups, we knew that beloved combination deserved a place in the cereal aisle too.”

The new cereal follows last year’s launch of Reese’s Puffs Dark Chocolate, adding another flavor to the company’s lineup. The product is being offered across U.S., enabling consumers across the nation to try the new option for a limited time.

New Cereal Includes Temporary Tattoos

Along with the new flavor, each box of the cereal item includes exclusive temporary tattoos. Parent company General Mills said the in-box addition is aimed to bring back the familiar experience of childhood cereal-box surprises.

General Mills operates as a food company with a portfolio of brands such as Cheerios, Blue Buffalo, Nature Valley, Häagen-Dazs, Pillsbury, Old El Paso, Betty Crocker, Annie’s, and Totino’s.

Timed for the back-to-school season, the recent Reese’s Puffs launch is targeted at consumers looking for a cereal option for mornings, study sessions, and other occasions.
