“We just wanted to say thank you again to everyone that has supported us over the years,” said a Facebook post published by Two Jerks Seafood on January 3. “We’ll be giving updates on the restaurant buildout as soon as construction starts! We look forward to sharing our view of the sunset with everyone soon.”

So began a process that has continued throughout this year and is soon coming to fruition: Two Jerks Seafood, the fresh seafood market, closed and will soon be reborn in a new form at Port Orange, at 79 Dunlawton Ave. It’s transforming from a market into “the hottest new spot coming to Port Orange.”

“The majority of our seafood is sourced directly from local fishermen and harvested from the pristine waters surrounding Florida, Georgia, and South Carolina,” says the Two Jerks website.

What Now confirmed news of the restaurant’s opening with co-owner Michael Freeman on Thursday. Freeman says more details will be released soon about the restaurant and its launch, so stay tuned for more info.
