Comet Cleaners is planning a new location in Schertz as part of the FM 3009 & Wiederstein Retail development at 4753 Roy Richard Drive, according to project records filed with the Texas Department of Licensing and Regulation (TDLR).

The project, listed under TABS2026028364, calls for a 1,400-square-foot tenant improvement for the new dry-cleaning business. The estimated construction cost is $175,000, with the project privately funded by the tenant.

Construction is scheduled to begin September 15, 2026, with completion anticipated October 27, 2026, according to the filing.

The planned Comet Cleaners will be located at 4753 Roy Richard Drive, Schertz, TX 78154, in Guadalupe County.

The project includes plumbing, electrical, HVAC, framing, drywall and insulation work to prepare the space for the new tenant.

FM 3009/Wiederstein Retail, LTD is listed as the property owner, with P.J. Pfeiffer serving as the owner’s contact. Rodrick Rhoads is listed as the tenant, while 3C House is named as the design firm.

The project is currently listed as registered, with construction expected to begin in September.
