Sally Beauty is eyeing San Marcos. According to public filings, the beauty retail chain plans to open at 4015 I-35 S. at Tanger Outlets San Marcos, with construction completion targeted for November 2026.
Founded in New Orleans in 1964, Sally Beauty has grown into a major destination for professional-quality hair color, hair care, and nail products, with locations across the United States.
The Tanger Outlets location will give the brand access to a diverse customer base. The San Marcos location would follow Sally Beauty’s updated retail format, which the company has been rolling out across new locations nationwide.
According to representatives in a previous conversation with What Now, the design features open spaces, lower shelves, and curated shopping areas designed for beauty enthusiasts seeking discovery, inspiration, and expert guidance. Shoppers can preview award-winning styling tools, access hair-color shade-matching services, and browse more than 900 trending nail products from a variety of brands.
In an interview with Bloomberg, CEO Denise Paulonis said Sally Beauty has “a lot of momentum behind it,” citing an increase of up to 8% compared with the same period last year and the company’s ability to continue investing in the business.
