Happy Beauty Co. is eyeing San Marcos for is next expansion. According to public filings, the beauty retail chain plans to open at 4015 I-35 S. at Tanger Outlets San Marcos, with construction completion targeted for November 2026. According to representatives, Happy Beauty plans to open prior to the holiday season.
Happy Beauty is part of Sally Beauty Holdings, a subsidiary of the major beauty retailer, with an engaging, accessible, and expressive specialty beauty concept focused on on-trend indie brands, Korean beauty, and fragrance. The retailer also gives customers the opportunity to test most products before purchasing.
The beauty retail format was originally launched as a pilot in 2023, and the San Marcos store represents an expansion of the concept.
Sally Beauty was founded in New Orleans in 1964, and has grown into a major destination for professional-quality hair color, hair care, and nail products, with locations across the United States.
In an interview with Bloomberg, Denise Paulonis, CEO of Sally Beauty Holdings, shared that the company has “a lot of momentum behind it,” citing an increase of up to 8% compared with the same period last year and the company’s ability to continue investing in the business.
