Significant Other Kitchen & Cocktails is set to bring something extra significant to the Las Vegas Valley. The new all-day neighborhood restaurant is planning to open in the unincorporated town of Paradise, across from Harry Reid International Airport, at 1725 E Sunset Rd, Suite 150, according to a press release from the brand.

The plan is to debut the new eatery this October. At the helm of the opening are a couple, Mike and Kristi Austin, restaurateur Matthew Silverman, and Chef Matthew PiekarskiWhat Now Houston briefly spoke with Piekarski, who confirmed the opening.

“Seeing the Significant Other sign go up makes the opening feel real,” said Austin in a press release the team sent.

“We have spent years helping build some incredible restaurants throughout Las Vegas, but this project is deeply personal. It began with Kristi and grew into a restaurant we hope becomes part of people’s everyday lives, from morning coffee and business lunches to date nights, family dinners and special celebrations.”

The story of Significant Other began when the Austins set out to build a new headquarters for Austin General Contracting across from the airport. After years of constructing many of the city’s notable restaurants, Mike decided it was time to create one of his own, inspired by Kristi’s love of family, hospitality, and bringing people together.

Mike then bought on Silverman, with whom he’s worked on several Las Vegas openings, including Alexxa’s, Beer Park, and Big Chicken. Silverman is also one of the original creators of the Vintner Grill. Silverman then brought Chef Piekarski into the project. Chef Piekarski has experience from some of the finest restaurants on the Strip.

“Perfect for friends, furry friends, family, business meetings & a cocktail or two over a layover,” the Significant Other website reads.

“Whether it’s a wedding party, holiday soirée, or just a little get-together for a girls’ day, we’re here for it.”

Significant Other Kitchen and Cocktails is ready to serve the community in Las Vegas fashion: all day, every day. The new concept will serve breakfast that include craft coffees and house patries, Lunch with your option of fresh Pastas, crisp salads, seasonal favorites, and more, and the Dinner menu will offer chef-crafted entrees, steaks, seafood & more. With a name like Significant Other Kitchen and Cocktails, you know this new concept is going to be serving up the good on the cocktail menu, which is intended to offer craft cocktails and curated wines.
