Tom Thumb, the beloved Texas grocery chain, is planning a new store in the rapidly growing Northwest Fort Worth corridor. According to public filings, the store is planned for 6250 West Bailey Boswell Road, within the Boat Club Landing development.
What Now Dallas reached out to the company to inquire about an opening timeline, but representatives said no additional details are available at this time. Public filings indicate that construction is scheduled to begin in December 2026 and be completed by December 2027. However, dates listed in public filings are subject to change and are not always definitive.
Tom Thumb operates as a banner of Albertsons Companies and has served the Dallas-Fort Worth area for decades. The brand is known for its full-service grocery experience, offering fresh produce, a robust deli and bakery, pharmacy services, a wine and spirits selection, and Safeway-brand products, all under one roof.
Tom Thumb locations also typically feature a Starbucks café and a loyalty program through the brand’s Just for U app, which offers personalized digital coupons and fuel rewards.
