Fortina Pizza will close its Stamford location after more than a decade of service. The company’s Armonk and Rye Brook locations will remain open.
Fortina Pizza Set to Close Stamford Location
Well-known for its rustic, wood-fired cooking and lively atmosphere, Fortina Pizza represents the authentic flavors of Italian cuisine. The menu includes all the signature Italian dishes like lasagna, ravioli, and pizza.
Westchester Magazine named Fortina the Best Restaurant in Westchester in 2022.
Through an Instagram post, the pizzeria team announced the closure news. The team shared that the Stamford location at 120 Washington Boulevard will close after more than 10 years of operation.
“After more than 10 years, we’re closing our doors in Stamford,” said the team. “Our last day of service will be August 31st, and we hope to see you before we close.”
They thanked the customers and community for their support over the past years. “We’re incredibly grateful to have been part of the Stamford community,” the team added.
In the post, the team behind the pizzeria did not share the official reason for its closure.

Two Locations Remain Open
While the Stamford location is winding down its operations, the pizzeria has two more locations that will remain operational.
“The good news: Fortina isn’t going anywhere. Our Armonk and Rye Brook locations will remain open, and we’d love to keep seeing you there!” added the team.
Following the closure announcement, several loyal customers of the pizzeria expressed their disappointment on social media. One customer commented, “So many memories! Fortina Stamford gave me a lot. Good luck, guys.”
“Such a bummer. I have so many wonderful memories of Fortina. It’s a loss for Harbor Point,” wrote another customer.
As the Stamford location of Fortina Pizza enters its final chapter, the team hopes to celebrate it with the community.
