A new Jamaican restaurant appears to be launching in Orlando. Team Yaad A Spice will set up shop at 629 Delhi St in Orlando, according to plan review documents submitted by Team Yaad A Spice LLC.
According to its Yelp page, Team Yaad A Spice is a Panama City-based food truck serving up Jamaican food at 8800 Front Beach Rd in Panama City. Now, Team Yaad A Spice looks to be opening an outpost in Orlando.
What Now confirmed news of an opening with a representative on Tuesday. The representative said Team Yaad A Spice is still waiting on permits and that it’s still too early to share menu details.
“Jamaican and American cuisine brings the authentic flavor of Jamaica to life with dishes like jerk chicken, oxtail, curry goat, stew chicken, curry chicken, stew pork, escovietch fish, etc.,” says the Panama City food truck’s Yelp page. “What sets it apart is its use of fresh, local ingredients and signature spices like scotch bonnet peppers and allspice. The food is known for its bold, smoky, and spicy flavors, achieved through marinating and slow cooking. Yaad A Spice celebrates traditional Jamaican cooking, creating a vibrant dining experience that highlights the island rich culinary heritage.”
The location on Delhi Street appears to have formerly been occupied by Jims Caribbean Kitchen.
