Earlier this year, developers broke ground on Hickory Flat Marketplace, a new 100,000-square-foot shopping center expected to open in fall 2026 at 6375 Hickory Flat Highway. Woodstock business Little Rosa’s Pizza is among the tenants expected to join the new development, according to local real estate posts. Owner Joe Rosa confirmed the expansion in a message with What Now Atlanta.
The pizza shop has deep roots in the local community, stemming from Rosa’s Pizza, founded in 1984 in Holly Springs by Joe’s father Tony Rosa. Tony drew inspiration from his own upbringing and his mother’s authentic Italian cooking to craft the concept. Joe eventually took over the business but in 2019 decided to step away.
However, in recent years, Joe decided to bring back his own version of the concept with the creation of Little Rosa’s Pizza. The shop remains committed to serving New York-style pizza in a family-owned environment.
Menu items include specialty pizzas such as Rosa’s Special, Lasagna Pizza and Rosa’s Herb & Spice. The shop also serves heroes, salads and pastas.
