A California-based pizza chain continues rapid Collin County buildout. According to public filings, Mountain Mike’s Pizza plans to open a new location at 220 W. Frontier Parkway, Suite 100, in Prosper.
What Now Dallas reached out to Hector Haget, the franchise owner of the Celina location, who also operates a Mountain Mike’s location in Frisco, for additional details and to inquire about the Prosper project, but did not receive a response prior to press time.
Founded in California in 1978, Mountain Mike’s is known for its crispy, curly pepperoni and Mountain-sized pizzas made with dough prepared fresh daily, alongside wings, salads, sandwiches, and desserts. Locations typically feature a family-friendly setting with arcade games and big-screen TVs.
Mountain Mike’s first entered Texas in Lewisville in late 2022, according to What Now Dallas, and CEO Jim Metevier has said Texas is expected to become the brand’s second-largest state, with three multi-unit development deals in place statewide.
The Prosper opening continues Mountain Mike’s aggressive push into Collin County, which What Now has closely tracked. What Now Dallas previously covered the chain’s expansion across North Texas, with additional locations opening in Grand Prairie and near Fort Worth-Saginaw.
